Q.1. UNSEEN COMPREHENSION PASSAGE

Read the following passage and answer the questions given below: (15)

Para-1: Man is a bundle of emotions. Love and hatred joy and sorrow, sympathy and jealousy, diappointments and fulfillments always tear and toss him. His entire life moves around these emotions. He is a rational being. He can ruminate on the past and can plunge into the future. Man is never satisfied with what he has. The more he has the more he wants. He is full of ambitions.

Para-2: Ambition is young man’s ladder. It keeps him moving forward to reach his target. Young people are full of ambitions. But ambition is not sufficient. Ambition must be probed by the will and efforts to archive it. Only those go up who strive and persevere. Perseverance is the key to success.

Para-3: Life is a conscious contact with our environments. The more conscious one is the more alive one will be.
Ambitions is a part of human consciousness. It may be or may not be fulfilled, but it is worth striving for. It gives purpose and meaning to life.

One morning, unexpectedly, a lady entered the lecture room with the dean; she was quite small of stature, plainly dressed, appeared different and retiring but had a firm and determined expression on her face. Her entry into the bedlam of confusion acted like magic on every student. Each hurriedly sought his seat and the utmost silence prevailed. For the first time a lecture was given without the slightest interruption and every word could be heard as distinctly as would be if there had been but single person in the room. The sudden transformation of this class from a band of lawless desperadoes to gentlemen by the mere presence of a lade proved to be permanent in its effects.
