An announcement here on Friday said that as a part of its on-going teacher training programme, the OUP is conducting a workshop for teachers on Oxford Progressive English, an English language series for pre-primary and primary level classes.

It said that written by experienced British authors, Eleanor Watts and Chris Jacques, the six books in the series have been developed according to the UK and Pakistan National Curriculum guidelines.

The well-illustrated books are student-centred, requiring maximum student participation, and include a variety of exercises designed to develop the essential language skills through practice in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

The workshop conductor and the co-author of the series, Eleanor Watts, has extensive experience in English language teaching at the primary level, and is the author of a number of primary English books being used in different parts of the world.

She also has many years of experience in training ESL teachers, it was further stated.
